広島出身、東京在住。

2006年 ドイツのレーベル、onpaより1st "april.#02" をリリース。
2007年 MIDI Creative / nobleより、2nd "program music I" を発表。
　ベルリン、フランクフルトを巡る、ドイツツアーを敢行。
2009年 MIDI Creative / nobleより、3rd "5 Dec." をリリース。
　ヨーロッパ3ヶ国8都市を廻るツアーを敢行し、世界三大クラブの一つ "Berghain / Berlin"(ベルグハイン／ベルリン)や、ドイツ最大の野外フェス "Fusion Festival 2009" にも出演。Kluster(後のCluster)やAlec Empire(Atari Teenage Riot)等と競演する。
2010年 マカオ、香港を巡るアジアツアーを行う。
2011年 Virgin Babylon Recordsより、ピアノアルバムである4th "88" をリリース。
2012年 Virgin Babylon Recordsより、5th "Re:" をリリース。
　台湾ツアー、ロシアツアーをそれぞれ行う。
2013年 新海誠 監督作品 "言の葉の庭" の音楽を担当。
2014年 nobleより、1st "april.#02" リマスター盤をリイシューリリース。
　1月、台湾ツアーを行う。
　3月、中国主要9都市（北京、上海、南京、成都、重慶、武漢、長沙、広州、深圳）をツアーで巡り、オールワンマンで、2,000人を動員。
　11月、6枚目のアルバムとなる"9 Songs"を、guns N' girls Recordsよりリリース。
2015年 7月、国際交流基金(The Japan Foundation)の主催により、中国南京で講演会＆レクチャーを行う。
　11月、カザフスタンツアーを行う。
2016年 1月、黃飛鵬 (fei pang Wong) 監督作品 "十年 - 冬蟬（香港映画）" の音楽を担当。
　2月、過去に活動していたバンド、yodaka のアルバムをRicco Labelよりリリース。
　4月、7th "program music II" をVirgin Babylon Recordsよりリリース。
　8月、中国 TVアニメーション番組 "山海宝贝" の劇伴を担当。
2017年 1月 MONOと台湾Legacyにて公演を行う。また早稲田大学にて特別講師を勤める。
　5月、中国上海にて公演を行う。また、8th album "Re:RED" をVirgin Babylon Recordsよりリリース。
2018年 上杉昇（WANDS）12年ぶりのオリジナルソロアルバムの、アレンジ・リミックス・ミックス・マスタリングを手がける。
2019年 中国7都市ツアーを行う。（北京、杭州、上海、南京、武漢、深圳、広州）
2020年 ライブアルバム "april.#02 Live" をインドの SUBKONTINENTAL RECORDSよりリリース。

自身の創作活動の他、劇伴作曲家、リミキサー、マニピュレーター、ミックス & マスタリングエンジニアとしても活動。

Born in Hiroshima, currently live in Tokyo.

In 2004, started musical activity as a solo artist.
In 2006, he released his 1st album "april.#02" on a German label, onpa.
In 2007, he released his 2nd album "program music I" on Noble. In the same year, he toured Germany.
In 2009, his third album "5 Dec." was released on Noble. In the same year, he toured 8 cities in 3 countries across Europe including a performance at one of the world's top 3 clubs Berghain (berlin) as well as an appearance in Germany's largest festival, Fusion Festival 2009.
In 2010, he went on his 1st asian tour including Macau and Hong Kong.
In 2011, his 4th album "88" was released on Virgin Babylon Records. it's his 1st piano album.
In 2012, he toured Taiwan and Russia. in the same year, he released his 5th album "Re:" on Virgin Babylon Records.
In 2013, he composed music for the animation movie "The Garden of Words" directed by "Makoto Shinkai".
In 2014, his first album "april.#02" was re-released from noble label. His solo world tour in taiwan and china recorded more than 2000 attendances. In December, his 6th album "9 Songs" released.
In 2015, Lecture was held in Nanjing, China, organized by The Japan Foundation. he toured Kazakhstan.
In 2016, he was in charge of music of "10 years - 冬蟬 (Hong Kong movie)" directed by fei pang Wong. In February, I released an album from yodaka, a band that had been active in the past, from Ricco Label.April, 7th "program music II" released from Virgin Babylon Records. In August, he composed music for the Chinese TV animation program "山海宝贝".
In 2017, He performed a Taiwan performance with MONO.In May, we performed in Shanghai, China. Also released 8th album "Re: RED" from Virgin Babylon Records.

2018 Noboru Uesugi (WANDS) Arrange, remix, mix, and mastering for the first solo album in 12 years. 2019 China 7 city tour. (Beijing, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Guangzhou) 2020 Live album "april.#02 Live" released from SUBKONTINENTAL RECORDS in India.

In addition to his own works, he acts as a composer, remixer, manipulator, mixing & mastering engineer.
